What birth control method do you prefer?

going to the OB/GYN this Thursday, but I have no idea what birth control option I want to do. I did the pill, it made me gain obscene amounts of weight. I tried the nuvaring, but I heard it causes certain bacterial infections so I would like to avoid that. Other than that, I am open to all suggestions. Thank you!
