Is Mirena Birth Control Right for me?

I'm 18 and going into college next year and I know Mirena is widely known for mothers that don't want anymore children. But I am a very busy person and I can't really swallow pills that well. I am not sexually active but plan on being in the next year or so. I'm just not sure if Mirena is okay for teenagers. I have sat down with my GYN and she told me this is what he two teenage daughters are on but I am still not convinced. I know a lot about it but am really not sure if it's right, please help?
