I agree with you. Reincarnation is a doctrine which gives control of one's destiny to the individual himself, rather than to the church authorities who, incidentally, must seek financial support from their followers. Historically, reincarnation was a part of Judaism from the beginning, and Islam, and certainly Christianity - as well as Native American, aboriginal and eastern religions. People born remembering past lives have been with us since the beginning of time, in every society and at the heart of every religious foundation. But once the religion becomes an established and powerful political and military force, reincarnation is discarded as heretical or demonic.
