Does this happen to anyone else?

Almost every time i shave my genital area, i get problems, ingrown hairs, razor burn itchy or redness. I have went to the gyn and she even said that i got an infection from shaving and thats why i had ingrown hairs, she looked down there and i had a pap test done, she didn't see anything except an infection so it can't be an STD, and i am a virgin also. Does this happen to anyone else? I am only 16 and i just shaved down there yesterday, but that was the first time in 2 months. Should i shave down there often? Could i have problems b/c of the razors i use or the soap/shaving cream?
